The road conditions and the camping infrastructure has developped constantly during the past couple of years, but still cannot be compared to the traditional market in the US, Europe or Australia. One or the other year will still go by, until a relaxed cruising with a large 6-berth Motorhome will be ensured. Around the periphery of larger agglomeration, the roads are quite decent these days and camp grounds are more numerous. In general, travel vehicles in South America are expensive. An explanation of this high price level certainly is caused by the partly poor road conditions in the remote areas. This causes a serious strain of the vehicles, which requires high investment into the respective fleets.
