The African adventure is real! In the majority of the Countries, the camping infrastructure cannot be compared to the ones in Europe or the USA, but still exists. Often, you are dependent on your individual infrastructure of your Camper, Motorhome or AWD vehicle (e.g. with roof tent). Crossing the borders of the Countries in Southern Africa is no longer an issue, but nevertheless require some time, a good sense of humour, and the approval of the rental company.

After all, the road from Windhoek, Namibia to Daressalam, Tanzania is around 2500 km in length and can easily be driven with a regular Motorhome. Beside the roads and in the
National Parks, cross-country vehicles are very much recommended.
